Thank you all for participating in our Mandela Effect Bible change polls!

60 Replies to “Please Take Our Mandela Effect Bible Change Polls… No Personal Information Will be Taken…”

  1. I put up these polls because I was very curious to know what others thought on the subject of the Mandela Effect Bible changes. Now that they are up I am very curious as to why almost no one is taking them.

This site gets pretty good traffic, I won’t say how much, but only a few visitors have participated. Can someone tell me why no one is taking the surveys? Any insight anyone? Does something important need to be changed that I have overlooked?

    1. Perhaps an explanation regarding theories as to what is happening to Gods’ word in the bible.?! It’s scary to people to think that Satan or technology or aliens or time travel are able to do these things. So once the surveys are taken and one should submit their answer, perhaps an explanation of what the intention of Satan is in each verse. One woman had a vision of years in the future where evil reigned heavily in the world and a blonde man surrounded by many beautiful women ruled. But there was one little girl, who hid in the caves with one piece of scripture. Perhaps an anti Christ so false is trying to test the waters of time. Trying to change everything in order to forget Jesus. This might be the plan. While we are focused on the little changes like bearenstein bears/bearenstain bears or star wars iconic phrasing changes, we should be focusing on the message of Jesus and what our Father has been pointing us toward! Following the rules of the bible and praising God!

If we are to forget, no one will follow the rules any more! That’s not going to allow us human beings to continue on. It will obliterate us! That’s so scary I think!

    2. Back in “09” I was home reading the bible in Matthew. I was reading where the mothers will hate their daughters. I was very curious about the word “hate”. So, I did an in depth study on the word with my Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance I bought back in “87”. The scripture was talking about the end times when the family members would be turning in other family members to the government because they think they are doing the right thing. Reading in English you would think the mother had an anger or rage toward the daughter. I did not understand that. I looked up the word “Hate” for that particular scripture. The definition read “To love God more” . That was the missing puzzle piece to what I was reading. It made sense that the daughter would turn in the mother because she loved mom. Mom however, knows God’s truth and follows it. Fast forward one year. I had a friend who had been in church her whole life and did not know how to do her own study or even how to use the concordance. I thought the Matthew 24 study would be perfect for her to learn. I would have her look up the word “Hate”. Well to my dismay, she nor I could find any scripture where the mother would hate their daughter. All we could find was “The fathers would be against the sons” I looked in the concordance for the word “Hate” for that particular scripture. It was nowhere to be found. I was thinking to myself, “There is no way I could be that far off in my memory!”. I always use a pen and paper when I do my studies. It helps me to memorize things. I looked like an idiot going back and forth with both books trying to figure out why nothing I learned the previous year was anywhere in the bible or the concordance. I set that on the back burner of my mind and moved on. I have read and studied the bible for 30 years. From “09 to “14” I would read and start doubting myself on my memory of the scriptures. That back burning was getting so filled up, It was starting to boil over. I knew there was no way I could be that far off in remembering the way the stories read, the names of the people and the single words in the scriptures. That was just too much. I did not know what was going on. I had never heard of the Mandela Effect. I was so overwhelmed with what was going on, I went to the internet to ask if others were experiencing the same thing I was. Can you imagine my reaction when my question lead me to the Mandel Effect, Cern, quantum computers and supernatural changes?
I was relieved that I was not losing my mind but I was so saddened in my heart that I did not memorize all of God’s precious words.
The scriptures about the famine for God’s word came to my mind. I cried and prayed that day. I figured if I can’t rely on the bible or the concordance anymore then I would have to start asking God for all my answers and teaching. I asked God about the sealing of the 144,000. Don’t know why? It just immediately came to mind when I was praying. I never understood that part of the scripture. God explained that they will be sealed with the true word. He compared it to the canning process. They will be sealed with the exact words in the exact way it was written and there will be no contamination of any kind when it is spoken. Just as in the bible when there were famines, there were store houses where people could go to buy the food. They may have had to travel far distances to get to it, but the food was there.
God has always left a remnant whenever huge disastrous events have happened. The 144,000 is his remnant for his word.

I never learned the bible word for word. I didn’t think it important enough. How wrong was I? 🙁
After 30 years of studying God’s word, I still feel like Gwasshoppa. 🙂

Don’t worry or panic during this dark time. God has got our backs. God says “Be still and know that I am God”. Remember that he will bring his words to remembrance in our minds when they are needed. He will never leave us nor forsake us. When you ask for bread, he will not give you crumbs. Seek, Knock and Ask. He will give according to his will. Remember all of this is all part of God’s plan. If he is the leader of this Army and this battle, then we need to always seek him and find out what the plan is.

    4. Maybe the way that questions are presented is not enough attractive for users to be answered. You should try another format for those questions.

      1. Excellent idea Lee. I will put up a few calls to action in my posts for the prayer warriors out there to send up a petition for God’s word to be restored in this land. I also will pray likewise.

As far as contacting me I have been reluctant to put up a contact page because of spam. I’ll do it in the next day or two.

  2. You said you your site has a lot of traffic but yet nobody is taking the survey. My thoughts are that just like there are many Christians out there so few are admitting or even speaking of the changes. People are looking but no one’s talking. Maybe taking the poll for some people would mean they would actually have to answer a question and come to terms with the changes. People are curious but many are experiencing cognitive dissonance.

    1. Thank you for your well thought out answer Nina. That is a very good point. People seem scared to even talk about this phenomenon. As you might imagine I deal with this subject most everyday online as well as in the real world.

It is always tricky when discussing this matter in the open. People have very different reactions. Some will thoughtfully consider the matter, but generally they just want me to shut up, even if they agree.

I ran into a similar sort of mindset when I was on about the creation vs evolution debate. However this is more extreme. For example pastors welcome the subject of creation, but definitely not the Bible changes.

Yes, as you say, many are experiencing cognitive dissonance with a bit of confirmation bias.

  3. There are many bible changes that is true. If agree with most of these. You should add “consider the raven” or “consider the sparrow” to the poll. That’s a very big noticeable change. Considering there are tons of songs about “consider the sparrow”.

    1. Hi Marisa,

OK, thank you. I’ll put that verse up in a new poll. Should be interesting. I think most will remember the sparrow, but let’s just see about that. Be sure to vote on it now Marisa! Blessings on you and your household.

  4. The reason I think why people are not participating in the poll is because most people that come here already know about most of these changes and they just popped in to see if there is any new developments.

Its like preaching to the ones in church about the importance of attending church. Its the same group of people that visit most of these sites just to get a broader overview, but by the time they come here they may not read details anymore, they just glance through headings perhaps.

As so why people are not doing anything about thid… What can we do? I shouted about this when I discovered this at first, just to find out that the people I share it with
    1. They get so upset they asked me not to talk about it anymore, or
    2. They argue that Jesus is the Living Word and all we need to focus on is intimacy with Him and He will take care of the rest or
    3. They also get cocerned and then are met with so many other people in category 1 and 2 that eventually they also let it go and move on to other topics of concern

The people in category 1 acts this way because they have no grid ib their mindsets and beliefs that allows for a reasonable way for them to digest it. To them God is in control and His Word is infallable and they build their lives on that, it is not a variable, so how do you explain this then? Rather just deny, or suppress or ignore. Maybe it is not such a bad idea after all, because else it can become a stumbling block.

Because I know about time travel and the evil plan of the Zionist power structure and the technology and secret knowledge they posess that they do not share, and because I support a form of Preterist Eschatology that believes the antichrist already came and the end of the Jewish First covenant age/world already came in 70 AD (Matthew 24 fulfilled) and that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father waiting for us, the church, to take dominion because He already gave all authority to us, I have no problem in my belief system to handle the reality of what we are dealing with here. I am just so passionate for the church to wake up and to take back what was stolen and to passionately and actively labour for the rule and reign of Jesus Christ in and through us, but the Zionist Jezuits have done much damage through the destructive rapture theories and distorted end time teachings they funded to become widespread in churches, and it is now so hard to break rhrough that to call the church to action. It has resulted in a passive church who only hopes for escapism through a so called rapture from a so called AntiChrist person, whom they think, God wants to come and rule the world so Jesus can later come back in a literal physical body on a literal cloud to come overthrow again later, and they as spectatora have all their hope in Jesus to come and pull them from the mess and then to come and clean the mess and they feel not a personal sense of responsibility for them to participate in the process of His rule to come, because of their mindsets and beliefs, and within such a mindset and belief why would you also care about the Bible changes, if you think all of this is Jesus’s problem for Him to come and resolve.

    1. I read your answer but when I got to the last part I felt I needed to reply. There is a verse in Isaiah 57:1 that the Holy Spirit showed me I hope you read it. Also, we cannot fix this world for Jesus to come back. This is all in Revelation. If they won’t repent when God is pouring out His wrath on them what makes people think we can change them. I am saying this in love, not sarcasm. In this world now deception is getting really bad. Please ask the Holy Spirit to show God’s truth. Love from a sister. : )

  5. Wow. Mind Blown. And yes, people aren’t talking about it. I think I did I hear it said in passing “the Bible is changing” but it did not register. Today I pulled out my grandmother’s 100 year and bible and YES! It’s all there. I am not a church goer but I am at peace spiritually. What does one do with this undeniable plot twist? How do I tell my grown children, already stressed from rescent fires and mud disaster? Thanks for putting this info together.

  6. I have several translations of the bible and I use them for comparative purposes. My KJV and NKJV/NIV have made these changes but my individual NIV has not. A friend checked her NLT and NSB and they have not changed. When you google a particular verse, you can go down the results list and see the difference translations and which have the changes. You do this for a few verses and you can see a pattern in which websites show the changes.

This is definitely part of the end time deception to come.

  7. I brought up a few changes to my pastor. I am referring to simple ones like the lion and the lamb and he didn’t know what I was talking about and said”maybe it has always been that way”. Is that s sign to run the other way?

    1. Your pastor should know, and not guess whether or not the scriptures have always been that way. It’s in the spirit. I left my church because of the failure to recognize the changes. I don’t know about you, but I ran. It was getting way too creepy for me. Not only the pastor’s disregard for the changes, but the congregation’s as well. I tried to stick it out.

  8. Once a person becomes awake to the changes they cannot stop searching to find God`s truth. It makes me so sad to see what has happened.I have Bibles that are close to one hundred years old that have shown the changes. We need to draw close to God even more than ever.I only use the KJV.May God keep giving us eyes to see the strong delusion that is coming upon us. A watchman, Joyce

    1. Watchman Joyce I have seen it many, many times in others and I know it was true for me that this knowledge of the Bible changes causes most of us to spiritually sober up. My walk has conformed more with my talk since learning about this phenomenon.

I have been accused by the bretheren of trying to destroy people’s faith. I find just the opposite is true. People are getting saved because of this information.

      Blessings to you Joyce!

  9. We must keep on being strong.Even when some people can not see the truth in the changes. They are asleep.God knows who will believe this to be the truth.I agree it will wake some up to the saving knowledge that His coming is soon.

    1. Since you mentioned the Lord’s coming is soon I had a very remarkable experience (which I shall never forget) last Sunday when I went to see my mom. She has advanced alzheimer’s and is in a memory care unit. For about a year now she has been speaking sort of an incoherent word salad and talks nonstop. Her words are mostly unintelligible. When you walk into the place you will immediately hear her talking, where most of the other residents are generally quiet.

Normally when I show up she will say Steve… then word salad. On this visit she saw me, grabbed my arm and said, “Steve I have to tell you something… The Lord is coming very, very soon. We have to all be ready. It is so near. Be ready!” What she said was shocking in itself, and I thought it would be impossible for her to ever speak like that again. It seemed like she was experiencing a fleeting lucid moment. She has not been able to speak like that in over a year. She looked me in the eye to know she had my attention. Afterward she went back into the usual incoherent sentences again for the rest of the visit. I am going to see her again in a few hours from now.

I have had a strong feeling for a few months now that we might be getting ready to go home to be with our Lord. Just out of curiosity, do any of you get the same feeling? Any experiences to share? Maybe dreams, or visions, or word of knowledge?

  10. Hi, your comment was so heart touching. My mother was in an Alzheimer`s nursing unit. She was not as bad with memory as some that were there. She could still say the Lord`s prayer almost correctly word for word. She never complained and was a shining example of what it is like to know Jesus. We do not know the day of our Lord`s return. The signs are all around us if you look.Just look at what the KJV is saying in (Jesus`s own words)but those mine enemies which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither and slay them before me.I can not see this to be what He meant.Has this been changed?

    1. Sorry for the late reply Joyce. You are correct, Luke 19:27 now reads, ” But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” The verse used to read, ” But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and shew them before me.” The verse meant take them away from before me.

Just out of curiosity, did your mom say tresspasses or debts when she said the Lord’s Prayer?

      1. “show them before me” is also my recollection. Some authors online say French and Spanish translations of this verse now read “cut their throats in front of me” which smacks of Islam. This rendering is completely against the character of Our Lord as most of us remember, who is “meek and humble of heart.” Those naysayers online who argue that Our Lord was not referring to Himself in this parable neglect the fact that the vast majority of parables, the “master” or “Lord” in the parable is generally Our Lord revealing something about His nature or character or some analogy about spiritual reality in reference to Him and His rule and reign as Messiah.

        1. Hi MG, excellent refutation of the scoffers on the Luke 19:27 parable. They ARE spiritual analogies. Thank you for taking the time to point out this truth defending our Lord’s character. Also very troublesome are the other extreme Mandela Effect changes such as:

          Exodus 21:17 (KJV)
And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

          Matthew 15:4 (KJV)
For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

These verses also attach the Lord’s character. They did not read this way before! I am sure the enemy will use these corrupted verses to great effect to turn many from the faith, or coming to faith in the Lord in the very last days. I have noticed that the corrupted verses almost always have parallel corrupted verses to lend witness.

The real mind-blower for me is the Christian leaders who say these verses have not changed! Their countenance changes quickly from seemingly humble, receptive and patient to angry, impatient and condemning. As you might imagine I have many conversations about these ME changes everyday, and it is shocking.

I sometimes wonder if the Mandela Effect or Quantum Effect has changed human psychology in the past few years. People have become mentally, and emotionally incontinent. There have been divorces over Trump! Witness Antifa and their clueless anger. Many need safe spaces if you even mention the name Trump. Christmas trees (and pine trees) are now racist and should be banned because they are shaped like KKK hats! True story. Asinine! There are hundreds of examples.

These things were not so in this country, ever before. Intolerance is on a rampage. Why do they rage so? Something has changed.

  11. I wasn’t aware of the Mandela effect until last night. This has blown my whole world up. There are truly changes in the Bible, and more than are listed here. What are we to do, brothers? Our memories are in conflict with “reality.” We cannot prove what we’re saying. What about those who don’t know the Word, and won’t recognize these changes?

    1. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us Bryan. We can all relate! I remember when I first learned about it and how it rocked my spiritual world. (so to speak) It took months for me to get back to “normal”. I’d listen to christian radio, or a pastor at church and ask why aren’t they talking about this? It colored everything I did and thought. I was obsessed and couldn’t stop researching and learning about it.

Fortunately, it drew me much, much closer to the Lord. I had gotten into a spiritual rut of sorts. Not anymore! It ignited a fire that I did not know I had.

I know from messages sent to me that it is having the same effect on a great many who come to this site, or discover the Bible changes elsewhere.

You ask a very good question. “What about those who don’t know the Word, and won’t recognize these changes?” Hopefully, if I do my job right they will see that the changes are contradictory to God’s nature and doctrines. The inescapable conclusion is that these Mandela Effect Bible changes can only be the working of satan with his lying signs and wonders.

I will be putting up a new article tonight. I hope you don’t miss this! Please come back and see it.

Bryan, may the Lord richly bless you, and your house.

    2. This is literally my concern. When I ask people the typical response is their memory is the original way and then once I show them the knew way, they try to rationalize the change.

      1. This is my concern also Ma’Resia. I have seen this same thing myself more times than I can count. They will give the correct answer first, then explain it away with ridiculous mental gymnastics. I have even had a pastor who couldn’t explain the Bible changes away come to the conclusion that the changes must be from God and are good – that’s how far they are willing to go! They will take an instant radical position without further study, and defend it to the death.

I have said before that the extremely irrational reactions to the Mandela Effect Bible changes IS a Mandela Effect! People did not used to behave this way. Everyone is offended and triggered even if you gently and meekly challenge them. They are fulfilling THIS prophecy of the last days:

        Matthew 24:10 (KJV)
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

  12. I can understand how people can still be ignorant of the ME. I thought it was an internet joke and never paid more attention than a second’s worth of attention to it. But once it is actually pointed out, then it becomes abundantly clear. To have it pointed out to you and to STILL deny it, that is what I don’t get.

Anyone watch Laurel & Hardy? You know that famous line Laurel always said: “That’s another fine mess you’ve gotten us into” ? Well, that has now been changed to, “That’s another NICE mess you’ve gotten us into.”

    1. I did not know about the Laurel and Hardy one. I remember very well that it was fine mess. Nice mess is not what it was. Did you know that Bob Hope’s signature song thanks for the memories is now thanks for the memory? It sure is. Even the name of the Movie was changed to “Thanks for the memory”.

Like you, I don’t get it either that others don’t see it, especially when it comes to scriptures. What compounds my frustration is that when they don’t see it, or disagree they claim that WE are under an evil delusion! I’d never say that about them. Who is right? I have a strong feeling we’ll all know for sure soon.

      1. You think this is strange look at how New York City has changed, how Staten Island now is much larger and super close to New Jersey now and has four bridges connecting it to the mainland US rather than the one that New Yorkers who remember the “way it was” – also the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island have moved to the New Jersey side of the ocean rather than being on the New York side as people recall. Truly bizarre. Also the north pole/arctic circle is missing from most globes and maps now, as well as greenland has increased in size to twice to three times as large as I recall anyway. A great deception indeed.

        1. I’ve heard of the changes in and around New York City, but have no personal knowledge of the layout there. I would love to hear from someone from NYC regarding this though.

          1. I am not from New York, so am not familiar enough with the geography to answer. The only thing geographically that I have seen that I question is Sicily, Italy. Some have said that the island is much closer to mainland Italy than before.

I know that the purpose of the site is to deal with Bible things, but these conversations help to show that this is happening in a lot of of areas, and not just related to the Bible.

          2. Yes, P. Lor I remember Sicily not touching Italy. I was there and there was at least 30 miles between Italy and the island. You can bring up any subject you like here.

  13. Whenever someone writes a song, sends a card when someone is leaving, or talks about old times in conversation, no one ever says, “I have a wonderful memory of this place.” or “These photos bring back good memory.” That is patently absurd! No, it’s always memories, with an S. Not “memory”! “Thanks for the memory”? LOL, that is actually laughable, especially in song form!

  14. Hi, I want to say that John 3:16 in part is now saying, believeth in Him should not perish.Even the demons believe in him.The word should does not give assurance of salvation. There is a Baptist Church near me that has a big sign that has the verse correct saying in part, that whosoever believeth on him shall have everlasting life. As you can see there is a big difference in the way it is now worded in my KJV.

  15. Hi, Got may have the answer you are looking for.Why do Daniel and Revelation give varying counts of 1,260,1,290, and 1,335 days for the tribulation?

  16. Hi, the word for leasing is the Hebrew word Kazabh.Means lies or lying. This is what I found.God bless you all who are searching for the truth.

  17. Hi, sometimes words do mean the same but derive from different can show you how many languages there are.I really think God does preserve His word.It may be in our hearts but it is still there for us to call to remembrance.

  18. Hi, we just watched David Jeremiah talking about how the world will be during the 1,000- year reign of Christ. He said the lion will lay down with the lamb.

    1. Dr. David Jeremiah is a learned and sound teacher in my view. I also like Dr. D. James Kennedy and Dr. Charles Stanley. Have been following them for over 20 years. They all provide good Biblical based teachings. They have been a real blessing in my life. Lots of great memories. If Dr. David Jeremiah says it was Lion and the lamb then as far as I am concerned… it was Lion and the lamb!

      1. It certainly was ‘the lion and the lamb’. I used to sell the stuffies together at the Oakville flea market 1997/98. I’m particularly concerned that holiness is ‘under attack’ and disappearing in the Bible. For years I’ve prayed when I get into my car, ps 34:7 which I learned as “The angel of the Lord encampeth around those called to righteousness.’ now it says, The angel of the Lord encampeth around those who fear God. We must live in holiness and trust that He is coming for us.

    2. Hi Joyce. I always grin when I hear these. No, that there’s anything funny about the Bible or anything to make light of. Maybe it’s more of grin because these are just more proof that the ME is real.

I recently saw a picture on FB of an acquaintance who in his younger years looked a lot like Tom Cruise. He has posted some pictures of himself from years ago and in one of them he is in a WHITE shirt and shorts and looks uncannily like Tom Cruise in a famous scene from one of his movies. A couple of years ago someone posted a comment that said something like, “All you need is a pair of sunglasses and you could have been Tom Cruise’s replacement.” So what’s the point of my comment? In that famous scene, Tom Cruise’s shirt has somehow changed from white to pink, and he was wearing sunglasses and now he is not! So why would someone have made a comment about “….all you need is a pair of sunglasses” if sunglasses were not in the scene?!

I’ve tried pointing this out to people, but if they are not familiar with ME they just give you the deer in the headlights look or give you the look that says, “Dude, you are mentally ill.” They are just clueless, so now I don’t even broach the subject.

  19. I’m concerned that some of you may be jumping too often and too quickly to the conclusion of the Mandela Effect. Observe: an issue brought up on here states that, in 1 Corinthians 13, the word “love” has been entirely replaced with the word “charity”. Before jumping to conclusions, let’s not forget that there are several differing versions of the Holy Bible. Let’s look at two differing versions: the KJV (King James Version) and the NIV (New International Version). In the KJV, the aforementioned passage uses the word “charity”. However, in the NIV, the same passage instead uses the word “love”. This is definitive proof that 1 Corinthians 13 has NOT been tampered by the Mandela Effect, but is, instead, the result of differing versions; differing translations of the Holy Bible into the English language.
As for the LORD’s Prayer in Matthew 6 (the whole “debtors” vs. “trespasses” problem), both the KJV and the NIV use the word, “debtors”. However, during Catholic Mass and in some Protestant worship services, when the Lord’s Prayer is recited by the congregation, the word “trespasses” is used and the entire LORD’s Prayer is recited precisely as many people remember it. A quick Wikipedia search will explain that this has to do with Eastern liturgical tradition – NOT the Mandela Effect.

As we all know, it is commonplace for people in places of power to tamper with laws and scriptures as a way to conform to the progression of the needs and wants relative to secular society, as the Pharisees and teachers of the law did in Christ Jesus’ day, as the Catholic Priests and other such ecclesiastical and denominational leaders have done for several centuries since and as they still do to the present day. As the Tao Te Ching states, “when the will to power is in charge, the higher the ideals, the lower the results.”

I don’t know whether or not the Mandela Effect is real, let alone actively tampering with scripture. However, the value of research cannot be understated.

    1. 1 Corinthians 13:3 (KJV)
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Cliff Chamberlain thank you for your input. Can you imagine any pastor actually standing up on the pulpit and telling his congregation, “if I give all I have to feed the poor, but don’t have charity I am nothing”? That would be an asinine thing to say. If you give everything you have to feed the poor, that is the very definition of charity!

I am not making the connection where you say, “However, in the NIV, the same passage instead uses the word “love”. This is definitive proof that 1 Corinthians 13 has NOT been tampered by the Mandela Effect, but is, instead, the result of differing versions; differing translations of the Holy Bible into the English language.”

Just because the NIV has it right means the KJV has not been altered? Is that what you are saying? The NIV has the next verse right as well:

      1 Peter 4:8 (KJV)

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

As sure as I know my own name this verse in the King James used to read:

      1 Peter 4:8 (KJV)

And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love covers a multitude of sins.

The NIV also has this right does that mean that the KJV has not been tampered with or altered?

Then you say that both the NIV and KJV use the word debtors and THAT proves there have been no changes.

Which is it Cliff? If the NIV and KJV agree that proves there have been no changes? Or, if they disagree there have been no changes? In my reality neither case proves anything.

Please correct me if I am missing something.

You say you don’t know if the Mandela Effect is real. You also say that Catholic priests, denominational leaders etc. have changed the Bible. How did they do the following to my 25 year old Bible that was in my house?

      Colossians 2:22 (KJV)

22 Which all are to perish with the using ; ) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

See the emoticon after the word using? It was not there before. Are you going to say this is correct English? There are hundreds of mocking emoticons in the KJV now. This verse has been mangled to where it is nonsensical. No, this was not done by church leaders, or people in power. This in new and supernatural.

Unless you have a better explanation that is. I am open to possible explanations for this.

      1. The emoticons are strange. I tend to think those are new. But, is there a chance they were there all along for 400 years and no one noticed them because emojis were not a thing until very recently, as in the last few years? Granted, I doubt they were always there, but can’t say for sure. Before the age of computers and texting, I nor anyone else would have noticed them.

        1. I do not know of any reason for an emoji in traditional writing on paper. It is considered slang and/or shorthand and is mainly used only in electronic communication. For that reason, I think emojis are new in the KJV. There does not seem to be any reason why an emoji would have been in the printed format of the KJV (or anything for that matter!) if it was printed 10 or more years ago.

          1. Agreed P. Lor. You will not find these emojis or emoticons in random areas of the Bible. These emoticons are deliberate, and strategically placed to mock God’s words and precepts. Which means they had to be placed there on purpose.

So far there are over 100 emoticons in the Bible. They are all new and are not something billions of readers (and millions of English teachers and professors) over the centuries would have missed. The King James Bible was considered a masterpiece of English literature for centuries. The editors were highly educated in grammar and punctuation. These emoticons would never have been allowed by editors and proof readers.

Today in art and literature virtually anything goes. There is no excellence anymore. It was NOT that way 50 or 100 years ago. A century ago you could not have thrown a crucifix in a jar of urine and won world-wide acclaim. Quite lucky for him because this so called artist could not have had a career at ANY other time in history. Neither would today’s rappers.

  20. Mr. Chamberlain, I agree with your sentiment. I won’t mention the site, because I don’t want to cause ill feelings, but I know of another place on the internet that has been making note of Bible MEs. They get a lot of them right, but some of them are wrong. They act a bit on the arrogant, condescending side when you point out that “No, this was always that way and has not changed.” They have made it difficult to try to even interact with them because of their attitude. So yes, I fully agree that we need to be careful.

Getting back to your example, I have been to several weddings and have heard several sermons throughout the years about I Corinthians 13. It is always referred to unofficially as “the love chapter.” I have never heard anyone refer to it is “the charity chapter.” The weddings I have been to and the sermons I have heard were at places where the KJV was the predominant version used. Call me flabbergasted and shocked that more people do not notice this one!

  21. Hi, in Matthew 9:20,21 it talks about the woman with the issue of blood.I was reading about this in one of my many Bibles.I told my daughter and husband that it said:” because of the plague”.I found this to be so strange as I had never heard this mentioned before in any Bible. Now it has totally disappeared.I checked all of my Bibles and nowhere it says that word plague.Has anyone else had this happen to them?

  22. Interesting poll! You asked why people might not be taking it, on my browser, the vote button is gray, instead of saying vote. I read all the way down before I had accidentally clicked on the gray box and then the word Vote flashed and it showed the results. So perhaps others didn’t see how they were supposed to vote.

One of the comments above said that maybe people weren’t voting because they already know about these changes. Most of these changes I was aware of, but I answered the polls according to what my answer would have been before I had learned that the verse in question was said to have changed.

    1. Thank you QuantumLurker. I will try to fix that button issue. That must be the problem. Only about one in 200 visitors participate. I’d like to get a broader sampling.
